Marcello Di Francesco (Italy)

It is a pleasure to introduce an accomplished marine photographer, Marcello Di Francesco, to our “Scuba Diver” readers. Marcello resides in La Spezia, Italy, a small town near the Ligurian Sea. His entire life has been tied to the sea and he discovered a passion for underwater phography, during a dive trip to the Maldives in 2003. That passion has motivated him to dive more than one thousand times, at sites all over the world, including Indonesia, Micronesia, Maldives, Philippines, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Tanzania and Madagascar, just to name a few.
우리 ‘스쿠바다이버’잡지 독자들에게 수중사진가인 마르첼로 디 프란체스코(Marcello Di Francesco)를 소개하게 되어 기쁘게 생각한다. 마르첼로는 이탈리아의 리구리안해(Ligurian Sea) 근처의 작은 마을인 라 스베치아(La Spezia)에 살고 있다. 그는 여생을 바다에 매달려서 살고 있으며 2003년 몰디브로의 다이빙 여행에서는 수중사진을 통해 열정을 발산했다. 이 열정은 그가 인도네시아, 미크로네시아, 몰디브, 필리핀, 이집트, 수단, 사우디아라비아, 멕시코, 탄자니아와 마다가스카르를 포함하여 전 세계적으로 1,000번 이상의 다이빙을 하도록 하는 계기가 되었다.

In 2008, Marcello became a PADI instructor and, in the following year, he become more involved in the world of underwater photography. His love and dedication of marine photography has culminated in many accolades. In addition to winning numerous photo competitions, Marcello’s unique marine imagery has been published in articles and graced the cover of various dive magazine.
2008년에 마르첼로는 PADI Instructor가 되었고 이듬해에 세계적인 수중사진작가가 되었다. 바다에 대한 그의 애정과 헌신은 수많은 찬사로 돌아왔으며, 수많은 사진전에서 입상을 했다. 마르첼로만의 수중사진은 여러 다이빙잡지의 칼럼으로 게재되었으며 표지사진으로도 사용되었다.

Marcello’s perferred cameras are Canon, with Inon strobes, for underwater shooting. Currently, he deploys a Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR camera, housed in a Nauticam NA-5DMKIII.
마르첼로가 선호하는 카메라는 수중촬영을 위한 Inon 스트로브가 달려있는 Canon 카메라이다. 현재에도 그는 Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR 카메라와 Nauticam NA-5DMKIII 하우징을 사용한다.

Although Marcello is already a very accomplished marine photographer, he still aspires to improve his skills and continue traveling to exotic oceans so that he can photograph and share the wonderful “blue world” with everyone through his unique underwater imagery! “Scuba Diver” applauds his endeavor and appreciates his beautiful photographs.
